Artist Bio:
Mahllie Marie Beck (She/They) was born in Seattle, Washington.
She expresses herself through a diverse range of artistic outlets including: painting, mixed media art, writing, printmaking, and mosaics. Her pieces are known for being vulnerable, romantic, and botanical. Some of her more personal artwork resembles pages of a visual journal: entries viewers can read. Her thoughts and feelings expressed on canvas can connect people with the pieces very deeply. She encourages self-discovery, love, and healing work. Mahllie adores nature and studying herbalism, it's one of her biggest inspirations.

2022, Black Lab Gallery Bar Mural, Everett Washington
- Inspired by the pandemic’s effects on small businesses, I painted a mural where leaves and vines are taking over the bar as if it was abandoned for a bit of time. I also painted exposed brick, inspired by Everett’s historic buildings.
The mural is in all white, it represents hope, beauty, and a white shadow of solidarity for all the folks who felt the impact of Covid-19.
